Wow great totu. Thank you
There are several tutorials out there for joining motifs, this one is by far the best because you get a closer look and better detail. Thank you for sharing 🙂
Thanks, Susanne. I’m glad it’s clear and easy to follow (I always worry about these things)!
oh these are so cute!! love them 🙂

Thanks!
Excellent tutorial!
Finally! A tutorial that I can understand! I SO needed the visual! Thank you and now I can finish crocheting my Wild Rose Doily.
Your tutorial is very clear, well done:) Clever to write your instructions on the paper. Thanks you for sharing this with us.
Thanks so much for these very detailed instructions on joining! Also, the daisy afghan in your previous post was exactly what I was hoping to find. Many years ago I made one exactly like yours using a flower/daisy loom and somehow with time and moving it disappeared. Your blog has inspired me to make another. I appreciate all of the time you put into sharing.
Nancy 🙂
Thanks so much, Nancy! When you finish your blanket, you should add photos to my new Flickr group (the link is at the top of the patterns/tutorials page)! I’d love to see how it turns out 🙂
This sounds really good! It is so hard to find precise details but I think I have finally found them here. I will be sitting down to practice this. Joining as you go has eluded me for too long but I think I will be finally able to do it now. Many thanks for taking the time to do your tutorial.
Ooo. I hope this works for you–lemme know if you have any questions!
OMG, thank you for adding the clear, careful notes and for using three DIFFERENT colours for this excellent tutorial. All us visual/verbal learners thank you!!!
Thanks, Carol!
Hi,
thanks for the nice and easy-to-follow tutorial!
i was wondering if you would mind sharing the pattern for these motifs and the yarn you used here.
Thanks,
Numsiri
Hi, Numsiri!
The motifs are from Edie Eckman’s book, “Beyond the Square Crochet Motifs,” so I can’t share the pattern. However, this is an exceptional book, worth getting from the library or purchasing (I did a review here): https://speckless.wordpress.com/2010/11/06/review-“beyond-the-square-crochet%C2%A0motifs”/
The yarn was medium weight, 4-ply worsted acrylic — just scraps that I had lying around.
Thanks for your reply! I really like the colors of the yarn you used here. Do you happend to remember which brand of yarn this was?
Agh! Honestly, they were unraveled scraps from a couple old baby blankets I got at a yard sale. Sorry, I know that’s not helpful
Thank you! I hate sewing the pieces together, and knew there had to be a better way of joining, I did find a Spanish video but couldn’t understand and she was so fast.
This is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you so much for sharing!
Thanks for sharing, fab blog 🙂
