Big Day DIY 1: Ring Bearer’s Box

When you plan a wedding, you start thinking of all sorts of things that were never on your radar – things you never knew in a million years would ever be important enough to ever waste a thought on. Do we need favors for everyone? Do we want to spend 600 bucks on chair covers (no!). What about ring pillows? Gah! A person can literally spend an entire day looking at pictures of ring pillows. And chair covers, for that matter. When I saw this ring bearer box on Pinterest (Pinned-it-and-did-it – holla!) I knew it was perfect. I always thought pillows were a bit goofy and girly, so this fits the bill. Also, the rings will stay nice and safe, and the box will definitely get some use after the big day.

This is a low-cost/big-satisfaction project. I followed Renee’s tutorial exactly, except I used spray varnish (a free score from Gramma’s house) and I covered some foam with fabric to add some more padding to the bottom. So, that’s one project down, 500 more to go . . .

So sweet! I love the simplicity.
