Little Happy Sketch-Along

Well, hello there! It’s been a couple weeks since I posted the Little Happy Things Sketch-Along invitation, so I think it is time to share the submissions (all two of them). Let me tell you, it was very exciting to get these in my in-box. I’m so grateful for these two for taking the time to play along, and I leeeeove to see these little personal glimpses into the lives of others.
First up, a collage from Izzy of Handmade with Love by Tante Izzy. Izzy felt more comfortable creating a collage rather than a sketch, and I think it turned out just lovely. Here’s what’s making her happy lately:
- Stroking cats
- Singing in the rain
- My daughter who can write her name for the first time
- making things and blogging about it
- owls
- lilies
- The book “This is not a book”
- taking pictures
- drinking cappucino (or pretending)

Next, this spectacular sketch by Melissa (which I think was done on a Wacom, and if so, I am jealous). I love Melissa’s style in her fashion, design, home, AND art. Melissa is one of those blog superwomen that I referred to in this post – she is definitely super-multi-talented! You can go see for yourself at her blog,
I Still Love You.
Thank you so much, Izzy and Melissa! I am truly honored that you participated!

Wow! those are incredible! I wish I had the talent to do something like that…but I don’t. I also wouldn’t know how to put it on a computer! I enjoyed them both!
Love these! It’d be great to frame something like this and be good reminder on those gloomy days!
Paulene, I think that is a great idea!
wish i would have found this before! i’d love to join in next time
