Double Dutch Birds Favor Boxes

July 17, 2011

I have a confession to make. I was planning on having some sewing tutorials and projects posted up here this week. I don’t know if this is still going to happen. After many bobbin tangles, broken threads, and all-around misbehavior from Ms. Sewing Machine, we got in a fight last night – and it turned ugly. Ugly, as in, I may have broken my sewing machine. I’m off to go figure out if we can kiss and make up. Until then, here’s a printable download for your party favor enjoyment . . .

These boxes will each print on an 8.5 by 11 sheet of card stock and measure about 2.25 inches after assembly. Click the link below the images to download the full-size PDF. Use a ruler and blade to lightly score the folds first (using the guide lines). Then cut, fold, and glue or tape tabs to the inside (but make sure you don’t glue the top flap shut)!

So far, so good. I think I bent something inside it, though. It’s embarrassing to admit that I get so mad at a machine. We are in a love/hate relationship, me and my sewing machine ;)
