Valentine Smack-Down: Jackpot Card

January 22, 2011

All of us have someone — or someones — that we feel very fortunate to have in our lives and chances are, those someones would like a stab at winning one MEEL-i-un (my Dr. Evil impression) dollars. Well, this valentine is the perfect way to show your appreciation. Click here to download the full-size PDF. Print her out on an 8.5 x 11 inch piece of card stock. Gather your ruler, blade, and cutting mat. Then, score the folds (marked by guides along the long sides of the card). After scoring, cut the card out along the perimeter (again, using the guides). Do not cut the whole edge of card stock off — cut from guide to guide so that the guide lines stay intact. Use a bone folder or credit card to really flatten down the folds. At this point, your card will look like this:

Use double-sided tape or glue along the sides of the short flap to tack the “pocket” to the inside of the card. Then, stuff a couple scratch-offs or Power Ball tickets in the pocket. Fini!
